The countdown is on for Earth Day 2010 and this year, it will reach a milestone - it's 40th anniversary. Prince George's County, Md. is celebrating, hosting events throughout the county.

The Howard B. Owens Science Center will be hosting a free, community day to celebrate "Earth Day 40: the 40th Anniversary of Earth Day." The afternoon will include fun, hands-on activities, planetarium programs, display tables, informative talks and more. Come join us for the day and bring the entire family.

The Town of Brentwood and the City of Mt. Rainier will host this event. Donations will be given to Goodwill of Greater Washington for reuse. Accepted items must be in working condition (television sets must be cable ready), except computers and equipment. ALL COMPUTERS and EQUIPMENT ARE ACCEPTED AND RECYCLED.
