County To Host Fair For Small And Minority Businesses
For years county leaders have been championing the mantra that "Prince George's is open for business," and with the wave of commercial and residential construction projects in the pipeline and underway, it seems that even in the current economic downturn, the county remains ripe with possibilities.
In an effort to ensure that all businesses no matter what size or demographic are included, the county's Office of Central Services, Minority Business Division, will host a small and minority business opportunity fair from 9 am to 4 pm on Wednesday, May 14, at Prince George's County Community College's Rennie Forum at 301 Largo Road in Upper Marlboro.

The fair will outline the county's fiscal your 2009 procurement forecast. Presenters will also explain grant opportunities, procurement requirements, bonding requirements as well as introduce attendees to new programs and initiatives.
Additionally, senior agency officials will participate in morning and afternoon panels, along with procurement staff, to address agency specific contracting needs. The Office of Central Services booth will be open the entire day with information on certification and to assist with questions from participants.
Organizers say the fair is free but seating is available on a first come first serve basis.
