Play In County Parks, Earn A Chance To Win An iPod, Mountain Bike
The folks who run Prince George’s parks, recreation centers and other fun spots, want residents to visit five different attractions in the county to earn the chance to win an iPod or mountain bike.
Under a program launched in May residents are asked to visit five different county facilities such as a community center, nature center, cultural arts center, a historic site, museum or sports center. Each time a visit is made residents are asked to get a stamp placed on a “5 for Fun and Fitness” card.
Cards can be obtained from the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission, Department of Parks and Recreation or Prince George's County community centers. The cards come with a list of locations to help participants find places of interest from each category.
Once the card has a stamp in each category, it should be sent to the
M-NCPPC Customer Service Help Desk at 6600 Kenilworth Avenue, Riverdale, MD 20737 before July 15.
All cards must be received or postmarked by July 15 that have 5 qualifying stamps and contact information, and will be entered into a drawing to win one of two mountain bikes or two iPods.
The drawing will be held during the July 31 Concert in the Park at Watkins Regional Park, 301 Watkins Park Drive, Upper Marlboro, MD 20722.
