The World Mourns The Loss of The King, Celebrates the Life of An Icon
When the family got together when I was growing up, it was never long before the
elders in the family would urge us kids to get on the center of the floor and
"do that dance."

My job was to do the best James Brown I could. The difference was, when
Michael Jackson auditioned for Motown in 1968, had James down better than James
did. We all know the footage. Black and white, with Mike camel walking across
the floor singing 'baby, baby, baby..."
Michael was born to be all that he was and he never let anything deter him
from reaching heights that no one before had reached--regardless of color or
background. His passion for perfection, love for music and sheer talent made him
a worldwide figure who set the standard for how it should be done.
We will never see another like him in our time. I'm OK with that. It's that
way it should be.
But when we do get the little ones in the center of the living room floor, we
may catch a spark of him now and again. I think he'd be OK with that.
Thank you, Michael.
