Lifestyle Magazine Reaches Out To Area Writers, Editors as Part of Growth Effort
Prince George’s Suite, the magazine of Prince George’s County, is looking for new talent to augment its stable of hard-working, enterprising, and dedicated team. We are looking for writers, editors and interns.
We want writers who can produce tight, bright copy that’s near error-free and entertaining to read. We need writers who can take a profile subject and breathe life into all the nooks and crannies that make a person tick. Then explode on the page with a great read. We want writers who can set a scene and weave a narrative using multiple sources that keep readers coming back for more. We want writers who won’t merely parachute in for the story, but are willing to spend extra time getting to know the communities they report on, and the personalities they cover, so they can write an even better story the next time we publish.
We want editorial hands with good judgment, who know when to light a candle under a story and when to take a blowtorch to it, so the reader wins in the end. We’re looking for more than standard bearers of grammar, punctuation, and style; we need thinkers who will push us to the next level so the copy, the format, and the tone stay fresh.
And, if you have talent (or think you do) and have a great work ethic, and can be a team player, we are very interested in interns and giving them real writing opportunities for the Web and print editions. The lazy and uninspired need not apply.
If this sounds like you, we want to hear from you, today. Send us an e-mail.
