PRINCE GEORGE'S SUITE MAGAZINE
Prince George's Suite Magazine is an award-winning lifestyle publication that publishes six times per year. At launch in 2005, the
magazine was direct mailed to the homes of nearly 12,000 high income residents, business leaders and civic leaders in the
county. Today, it reaches some 100,0000 readers in the Washington DC metropolitan area and is direct mailed to specific industry
leaders in five cities along the east coast. The magazine is a positive, upscale publication whose mission is to tell the story of
Prince George's County and its residents, to shed light on the best and brightest in the county and to offer positive lifestyle options
to those who live, work and play in the region.
Raoul Dennis, Publisher/Editor-in-Chief
A veteran editor, graphic designer, photographer, poet and award-winning journalist of 30 years, Raoul Dennis worked with many
media organizations and companies before leading the launch of Prince George's Suite Magazine. His credits include The
Village Voice, STYLE Enterprises, Black Entertainment Television, YSB Magazine and the Gannett Newspapers. He has
written for the New York Times, The Washington Post and PBS. His photography and design
work have appeared in publications including ELLE magazine and washingtonpostonline.com. Dennis' innovation and entrepreneurial spirit led to the modernization
of the National Newspaper Publishers Association news wire service and to the development of RADENN MEDIA
GROUP.
Dennis is a published author (“Visible Youth: Voice from a Post Civil Rights Era Generation” and “Tough Love” a book of essays
centered on the impact of the life of hip hop artist Tupac Shakur). He now resides in Prince George's County, Md. and
continues to develop an interest in the future of multimedia. Dennis, a lifelong football fan, enjoys the arts, history and culture.
Maria Lopez-Bernstein, Executive Editor
Ms. Lopez-Bernstein is a managing board member and the senior production manager of Prince George's Suite magazine. Ms.
Lopez-Bernstein is also the webmaster and calendar editor. She further contributes as photo editor and web page designer. A
self taught web designer, her creative talents are exceptional. Lopez-Bernstein is an aggressive executive and a detail-oriented
editorial leader. She is a professional poet and a lecturer on women's health issues. Ms. Lopez-Bernstein is an accomplished
health educator whose specialty includes adolescent and reproductive health. A native New Yorker, Ms. Lopez-Bernstein has
launched several websites since 1999. She is a jazz and wine lover and also enjoys fine and performing arts.
Marc Hopkins, Senior Editor
Marc Hopkins is a managing board member and senior writer at Prince George's Suite Magazine. He
serves as writer, editor and content manager and his principle responsibilities include guiding the voice
of the magazine. Mr. Hopkins is a career journalist whose credits include work as a business writer with
the Gannett Newspapers and Dow Jones. Hopkins' work has been printed and reprinted in internationally renowned business
publications including The Wall Street Journal. The native Philadelphian is also an avid Jazz lover and has written several
lifestyle and Jazz features for a number of publications including his cover story on legendary Jazz artist Miles Davis for
JazzTimes magazine. Mr. Hopkins' talent and focus have led to his penning several cover stories for Prince George's Suite
magazine in addition to his work with the publication as editor and content manager.
D.A. Phillips, Research/Administrative Director
D.A. Phillips is a managing board member of the company and the top administrative manager at Prince George's Suite
Magazine. D.A. Phillips maintains organizational leadership for the county's foremost lifestyle publication. Phillips is a respected
and resourceful professional with over 15 years experience in administration and office record keeping. Phillips is a committed
and talented manager. As a lifelong Washington, DC resident, Phillips is a proud neighbor of Prince George's County. When
not working on the magazine, Phillips' hobbies include listening to classical music, recorded books, watching C-SPAN and
QVC. D.A. Phillips is a family-oriented individual who strongly believes in good neighboring and community spirit.
Robert Bernstein
Robert Bernstein, one of the managing Board Members of Prince George's Suite Magazine has served the publication in a variety of roles
since joining it in 2005. He started as a writer, editor and ad director over the course of his time with the Suite.
He is especially interested in sports, military /veterans affairs and cultural events in the County and surrounding area. More often than not
you will find him searching the net, magazines and newspapers for that interesting event to bring to the attention of our readers.
An educator with more than twenty years experience in the New York City Public Schools, Mr. Bernstein enjoys travel, reading and movies
as some of his hobbies.
