Trained and tested by the fires of the American Civil War, African-American soldiers moved west to serve as our country expanded. Hardrick Crawford, a member of the Buffalo Soldiers, 9th and 10th Cavalry Association, discusses how these men served in the harshest conditions and with great distinction, displaying valor in every theater and earning 14 Medals of Honor during the Indian Wars.
