Native American Heritage Day Walk

  • Piscataway Park | National Colonial Farm 3400 Bryan Point Road Accokeek, MD, 20607 United States (map)

Join us in celebrating Native American Heritage Day with a native trees walk! Participants will be introduced to the basics of tree identification and learn how trees provide food, medicine, and materials for Piscataway People throughout the past and present. The tour will be a trail walk through various ecosystems of the Indigenous Cultural Landscape. This program is intended for adults.

This walking tour takes place outdoors and over uneven terrain. The Accokeek Foundation follows masking guidance from the National Park Service and local health agencies. Masks will be required indoors and for outdoor non-socially distanced activities if the COVID-19 community level for Prince George's County, as defined by the CDC, is HIGH at the time of the program.

Proceeds from this farm tour support the Accokeek Foundation's education programs and land conservation work in Piscataway Park.
