Finally, Spring.  Time to pop out of hibernation, take that first step out of the house and into a nice wine tasting.

For those who enjoy sampling wines, that’s precisely where Romano Vineyard and Winery comes in.  And you don’t have to be an oenophile to appreciate the offerings.

A family run enterprise since 2007, the Romano Vineyard and Winery is located in the picturesque rural tier of Prince George’s County, 35 minutes from Washington, D.C., and 50 minutes south of Baltimore.  Their collection ranges from Chardonnays to Merlots and beyond.

Romano’s offers comfortable amenities such as a tasting room for rent that’s perfect for birthdays or bridal showers.

On May 6, enjoy a Spring Craft and Vendor Fair.

Ladies’ Night is May 18 and all are welcome to shop, enjoy snacks and sample a variety of wines.  There’s also a Cigar Night on June 15. Be sure to bring your favorite cigar.

The winery enthusiastically pairs its wines with the talents of nearby homegrown businesses.

“We are extremely supportive of local companies,” says Tiffany Romano Myers.  “Samples & Sales Pop-up Events are a new thing we’re kicking off and each month, we’ll feature a local vendor so guests can sample their products.”

The Romano Vineyard and Winery may be a good opportunity to raise a glass and shake off that winter chill. It’s certainly worth a few bottles to try. Cheers.
