In Greenbelt, Summer’s Is Not Over Yet

Has the summer gone?  Already, it is the end of July. “Back to School” commercials with the dancing children outfitted in the latest fashions have already started.   

Is it time to start preparing to return to school and work? Not yet. At least not in Greenbelt!  This unassuming city of 23,280 has a few more summer events to roll out. Just check out the list of activities below - then grab the family and the sunscreen and head over to the Greenbelt Community Center.

Creative Kids Camp presents the musical "Hercules and Hippolyta" Enjoy free, high-quality performances by local youth! July 26, 10:00 am and 2:15 pm / Circus Camp at 12:30 pm

Community Art Drop-In

Make a sock monkey! Workshop with instructor Carol Petrucci. Free! All ages welcome. 
August 4, 1:00 pm

 Parents Night Out

Children ages 4-12 enjoy art activities and a pizza dinner while parents have a night out!  August 9, 5:30 pm

 Monthly Art Share

Meet with fellow artists for a constructive, informal discussion of everyone’s work. Teens and adults welcome. All experience levels. FREE! Bring 1-3 pieces in any medium. August 18, 2:00 pm
